Curry Realtors, since 1978...

Since its inception in 1978, Curry Realtors has been Alton's primary real estate brokerage firm. Under the guidance of Eugene "Bud" Gray, Curry built a strong reputation for professionalism and integrity. Bud became very well known and respected for his contributions within the real estate industry on the local, state and national levels. He received the National Association of Realtors' "Omega Tau Rho" medal representing its highest honor granted to Realtors. He is also well remembered by many for his long and courageous battle with cancer.

Upon Bud's death in 1985 and the subsequent departure of his sales staff, his son Steve Gray decided to give the business a try and took over as President and sole shareholder of the firm. Steve immediately focused his efforts on recruiting and training in an attempt to maintain Curry's impressive share of the marketplace. The motto "Committed to Service Excellence" was adopted and included in all the company's advertising.

Curry not only survived that transitional period, it prospered, actually gaining marketshare despite the rapid influx of new competition. For the next five consecutive years, Multiple Listing Statistics reflected that Curry Realtors had been involved in over 50% of Alton's brokered home sales. (For the year 1990 alone, Curry was involved in 55.5% of the Alton sales.)

More recently, 2004, was another banner year for Curry Realtors with total sales and rental volume more than $35,000,000. No other real estate firm has listed and sold more Alton property! Curry was again Alton's top-producing Real Estate office. This is based on listing and sales information from the Northern New England Real Estate Network, The Registry Review and internal rental statistics.

Curry Property Management has now handled the largest number of Alton Rental properties for the 22nd consecutive year.

Although 2005 marked the beginning of a major slow down, we now, however, believe that we are through the worst of a long overdue market correction and are optimistic that 2007 will greet us with a slowly improving marketplace.

Our handpicked staff is comprised of five Broker Associates and eight Realtor Associates who are each well-versed on "BUYER REPRESENTATION", along with traditional brokerage services. They will gladly assist you in looking for property anywhere on Lake Winnipesaukee and surrounding regions.

Since 1975, the company's philosophy has remained unchanged. Our goal is still to work with those property owners willing to set realistic asking prices and then provide them with "maximum exposure". Furthermore, prospective property buyers can be assured that when they come to Curry that they will be given assistance on all available listings and not oversold on just its own offerings.
